St. Andrew's boys soccer coach Scott Lubin
might get his first haircut in two years today if the Scots can
beat Pope John Paul in a District 13-3A match.
Lubin told the team at the beginning of the
season he would shave his head if St. Andrew's beat Pope John
Paul. The Scots had two shots at the Eagles already this season
and lost 7-1 and 7-2.
St. Andrew's hasn't beaten Pope John Paul in
four years, so the "hair game" is important to the Scots.
"I wanted to show the guys I'd do anything to
win," Lubin said. "A lot of the seniors that I've been with for
four years now know how big this game is. They would love to go
out with a win against Pope. I thought they would forget, but
they brought it up."
Where would the haircut take place?
"I'll let them do it right after the game,"
Lubin said. "We'll bring an extension cord and do it right there
at midfield."
